MRO Master Data and Reference Data Catalog

Semantic Fact has created a platform that facilitates the creation, consumption, and distribution of quality master data. MRO data cleansed and enriched by us is compared and referenced to our curated catalog of shared master data. Indirect and Direct material master data is enhanced with data that was previously not available or not utilized by the data consumer.

Through our Data Adoption Program we connect creators of data such as spare part manufacturers with consumers of those items to ensure that all parties have current and accurate descriptions. You can choose to have data we collect and add to out catalog after your enrichment project pro-actively submitted to you for potential inclusion in your material master.

Our reference catalog plays a central role in our MRO data cleansing service and contains the following categories of data:

• Product Data - Manufacturer names and part numbers
• Product Description Data - Descriptive data of commonly used products in key value pairs
• Classifications - We support commonly used taxonomies such as UNSPSC, eClass and eOTD. We also allow the import of any classification taxonomy or schema. If you have created a proprietary class schema or would like to create a new schema based on unique business requirements we have created a process to support your effort. You can also use our default shared classification schema.
• Measurement Units - The most common ISO Units of Measure available for use in descriptive properties and item level UoM fields.
• Legal Entities - Companies, organizations and groups can all be associated with item master or material master records. Enrich data from service providers.
• Class Templates - Curated templates define which attributes should be included in your descriptions. Define mandatory/optional attributes, the order they appear, length of the exported descriptions as well as delimiters to delineate descriptive elements. This allows us to easily conform to your existing data governance standards.
• Rendering Templates - We provide default and custom export rules that control the format and rendering of exported data. Control short description and long descriptions visual elements such as: capitalization, abbreviation, decimal precision, custom abbreviation lookup and other export options.
• Translations - Accurate and context specific translations. We provide custom translation services as well as access to our existing dictionary of pre-translated terms. Translation project management services are also available.
